The Street Art of David De Brito
United Kingdom
London , E1 6LA
This exhibition will take you on an artistic journey from the streets of Sao Paulo to the heart of London. He will be turning the gallery space at the Rich Mix into a riot of colour and characters. To tell his story of migration, city life and partying, David will be exhibiting painted canvases, wood, walls and paper cups!Mr Nap will be just one of a number of figurers featured in this exhibition. All are based on real life people David has encountered and drawn. David’s work is
a fusion of Brazilian and London street art styles. His work is rooted in the traditions of Sao Paulo. It is the biggest city in Brazil, with a population of 21 million. It is a city full of contrasts, subcultures and one of the world’s centres of street art.In the late 1990s, David learnt his craft painting with some of the cities most creative street artists and graffiti crews – Rui Amaral, Os Gemos, Onesto and Vicio. Now in London David is collaborating with some of London’s best homegrown talent. If you even have a passing interest in street art then you will love this exhibition. And if you love London and have a passion for Brazil this exhibition is definitely for you.

ROBERT HARDGRAVE | TO BE DETERMINED
Spain
Madrid , 28012
«To Be Determined is about the unpredictability of the future and the fallible certainty of the past. To Be Determined is about how wrinkled, scratched, and tattered our fragile lives are. To Be Determined is about experiencing life as it happens and staying surprised and curious as it happens. To Be Determined is to be determined in all that you do.» A brave explore
r with a sincere look in his eyes. Robert Hardgrave is more than an american artist with a long and interesting career. His art is inseparably bound to his life experience. Both are marked by important chapters with well-defined styles, different from each other but united by a quiet and conscious evolution. Born in Oxnard, California, Robert Hardgrave has made a significant contribution to visual arts in the Pacific Northwest for over a decade. Finalist for the 2014 Cornish College of the Arts Neddy Award in Painting and nominee for the 2014 Portland Art Museum’s Contemporary Northwest Arts Awards, Hardgrave has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows in Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago or New York. This is his first solo show outside the United States. Hardgrave’s work walks the path from abstract figuration to figurative abstraction. In this tour he collects influences from the 20th century avant-garde, so cubist, expressionists and dadaists elements can be found in his works. Actually, there is no one single path for Hardgrave, just freedom. Robert works and is carried away by the technique, he express himself in any direction that it takes him. He explores, get lost and find a new path, a new technique, a new expression, but actually, is not new, it was his and was there waiting to be rediscovered. This exhibition shows Hardgrave’s last steps, his latest artistic reincarnation, through small-format drawings and large size collages made by awesome toner transfers on Tyvek, a very resistant type of paper made with high density polyethylene fibers.

JUDAS ARRIETA | CÓMICS ABSTRACTOS
Spain
Madrid , 28012
Meta-Generational tales.Judas Arrieta describes his paintings and drawings as ”abstract comics”, and that may let us think that there is always a narrative line inside them. This show, and the rest of Judas Arrieta’s work, come from the acceptance of the popular culture myth. His topics usually develop a set of icons that refer to different contexts and generate meta-stories in which we can find various influences: manga, anime and Eastern cinema, being related to art, literature and We
stern cinema.Judas is a sponge that absorbs what he sees through the screens (television, computer) to create wicked connections. He uses to include hidden, veiled references, trivia or winks dedicated to experts. But, really, only his head understands the complexity of these hieroglyphics. They contain overlapping and flipped elements, that organically grow on the surface, and link to other realities and with other works by himself. These characters collisions transform the paintings into parodic stories.Throughout this show we find balance between the vision of “The Heroic” and its demystification found at the intersection of all previous references.Judas has condensed inside his creations a dense, emblematic universe of characters reflecting the spirit of several generations raised with television, comics and Internet. Although generational works expire with their main characters and followers once their time has passed, Judas Arrietas’ work will remain as a historical iconographic testimony.

Painter, illustrator, graphic designer and graffiti artist, Rems 182’s imagery unites violence, eroticism, and strength in both large-scale and smaller portraits characterised by a use of multiple perspectives that create a unique softness in each image that allows the various expressions to complement each other while revealing the complexities of human emotionHaving a background as a graffiti writer his work combines both letter-based and complex figurative images, or as the artist himself expl

No Limit Street Art
Sweden
Boras , SE-503 38
No limit – is an outdoor art event inviting artists from around the world to participate in turning public space into an outdoor exhibition. The idea is not new. Street-Art has been changing neighborhoods and cities around the globe for many years but Sweden, which has remained mostly vacant of large scale murals due to its strict “Zero tolerance” policy, is now getting a chance to be a part of this fast growing culture with its first large-scale mural event in the city of Borås. We are pr
oud to be part of this exciting event and we look forward to supporting it in order to help the organisers, artists and the city of Boras achieve their aims! The event in 2014, had participating artists from 7 different countries including The Netherlands, Brasil, Italy, Germany, Poland, Spain and Sweden. The artists, some of which have been painting graffiti and street-art as far back as 1981, are bringing a wide range of talent to Sweden. The walls, which the artists will be painting over the course of the week-long event, reaches as high as 7-storey buildings. There is no question this will be a turning point for Sweden as a whole. For years now, the Street-Art culture has been making its way through Sweden with positive embrace growing from both the public and politicians. While the “Zero tolerance” law remains in most cities, the discussion of the murals and the positive change it provides has been a hot discussion for many. From television, to radio, to newspapers and blogs, everyone in Sweden is now talking about it. Borås, with its history in opening its doors to art (from the International Sculpture Biennal of Borås to its extensive exhibitions at the Borås Museum of Modern Art) the city has now opened its walls to this mural culture. This art movement, which began with artists painting murals illegally, is now being embraced by the public and is letting artists turn local cities such as Borås into beautiful public spaces that are blanketed by artwork of artists worldwide. Borås decided that the event must remain authentic to the spirit of this movement and therefor did not ask the artists for sketches in advance. Instead, it made sure to accommodate them by providing large walls as canvases for them to paint whatever the choose. This of course is a controversial issue as nobody knows what the artists will create. The murals that will take place in Borås will hopefully serve as a starting point for other towns in Sweden to start accept Street Art and to be part of the culture instead of fighting it.
